BAMPFA is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs are available at the admissions desk for visitor use on a first-come, first-served basis. The building has an elevator that serves all floors as well as the Barbro Osher Theater.
Service Dogs are always allowed on campus grounds and in campus buildings. More information on University policy regarding service animals.
Booklets of large print exhibition text are available for select exhibitions. Booklets can be found at the entrance to the exhibition gallery or requested at the admissions desk.
BAMPFA's theaters have a limited number of disability companion seats and wheelchair locations with preferred viewing sightlines. You can purchase tickets for wheelchair accessible locations online or at our front desk.
Assistive listening devices are available for all film programs and are t-coil compatible. They are available at the admissions desk on a first-come, first-served basis prior to any screening.
The Barbro Osher Theater (BAMPFA's primary film theater) is equipped for closed captioning and audio description services. Screenings with closed captioning and audio descriptions available are labeled on our event calendar and in the event description. When closed caption and audio description tracks are provided by the film distributor, visitors can request headphones and closed caption devices from any usher in the theater. The devices are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
